Renelle Aumont, RMT, DOMP

Renelle has made a career of helping others through manual therapy. As a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (DO(MP)) she believes in bringing the body back into a state of balance and in empowering the client towards healthy lifestyles.  Renelle obtained the Massage Therapy Diploma with Honours in 2013 from Academy Canada and her diploma in Manual Osteopathy in 2019 from the National Academy of Osteopathy.  Renelle has been practicing Massage Therapy since 2013.  She is an active member in good standing with the Newfoundland and Labrador Massage Therapy Association, the College of Massage Therapy of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Osteopathic & Naprapathic Association of Newfoundland & Labrador.

With a goal of providing clients with the best care, Renelle continually upgrades her skills and educates clientele. Within scope of practice, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, myofascial release therapy, strain- counterstrain, muscle energy therapy and other techniques are applied dependant on the individual’s needs, whether they be to reduce pain and congestion, improve posture and lymphatic flow, balance pressures, moderate the stress response or restore homeostasis.

Renelle is certified and specializes in visceral manipulation.  « Viscera » relates to the internal organs of the body, such as the liver, kidneys and intestines.  Visceral Manipulation is a gentle manual therapy that aids your body’s ability to release restrictions that cause pain and dysfunction.  Renelle feels for altered or decreased motion within the viscera then applies VM techniques to re-establish the body’s ability to adapt and restore itself to health

Renelle encourages clients to improve vitality and does so herself, by commonly practicing healthy habits of healthy eating, mindful living and regular physical activity such as Crossfit.  Therefore, Renelle has a personal understanding of the requirements and demands of sports.  Her knowledge and training also gives her a strong understanding in repetitive strain injuries and a better understanding of the body’s return to its non-injury state.

She will welcome you in French and in English.
